Best mount I ever had for any product. Wish I could get it to work with my radar dectector.
Classic Straight USB Cable

I got my Wii for Christmas, and it’s awesome!

However, when you start trying to get stuff for it, you think you have it all and then you find out you need more stuff.

For instance, you can play Gamecube games on a Wii console, but no one ever says you need a Gamecube memory card to play them as well.

Or, Wii fit, which is a steal at $19.99, but requires a $96.00 balance board to play.

Or, you don’t have a wireless router, or wireless service, and the Wii only has Wi-Fi capability unless you know that there is an adapter that can make it able to be physically wired to the internet. Which you will never find out about that unless you think of it. Then when you do think of it, there is a question of the type of Ethernet cable you need and how long the cable needs to be. (Which the cable type is category 5.)

Basically, I love my Wii system, I wouldn’t trade it for the world, but if you’re going to buy one, realize that it’s not just a console and couple games you’re buying. You have to buy a lot more than you think. There’s additional wii-motes, nunchucks, boards, plugs, adapters, and lots more that you may not think you need, but are vital to the running of the gaming programs on the Wii.

So to people new to the Wii gaming system, be sure to do your research and find out whether or not you are willing to make the various and costly investments.

I am very pleased with the quality of the purchase of the Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007. It is as stated — factory sealed. I had no problem installing it and it works well. It suits my needs perfectly. I was pleased to be able to purchase it for less dollars than anywhere else I searched and it came in a very timely fashion. Good job!
Deluxe Romance Gift Basket

This has got to be one of the best inventions for dog grooming. I have a beagle and although she has a short coat she does shed with the approach of warmer weather. The Furminator does a wonderful job of getting out that loose fur, and she seems to enjoy it.

I love my kindle! I find it easy to get around the books and it turns pages very quickly. I can even browse the web on it, though, I’ll probably only do that if I really need to check email or something (as you may imagine not many websites are kindle-friendly). It downloads fast and there are lots of free classics I’ve added to my reading list that I wouldn’t read otherwise. Also, there is an awesome dictionary feature where I can scroll in front of a word that I don’t know and it will show me the definition. Very useful! My only irk thus far is that not all books are available in ebook format yet, but that would happen with any reader, of course.

Another huge bonus is how compact it is. This is my most valuable travel item, because instead of jamming two giant hardcovers into my bag where the corners get bent and they smash everything, I have a thin, light-weight Kindle that slips easily into the side and holds 1500 books. And if I finish a book on the go, I can download a new book anywhere (if I didn’t already have 20 more waiting in the queue!).

Reading a book on kindle is also just like reading off a page – no glare and I don’t feel like I’m looking at a screen. I will never go back to paperbacks!

I bought the friction mount for my wife’s car. I haven’t had any complaints from her yet. I like the way it is constructed. It seems to be durable. So far, so good…!
We re Just Good

Like (probably) most folks who read this book, it was jammed down my throat as Required! Reading! in my Honors English class in High School (I guess they saved it for the Honors class because we were all Ivy-bound brilliants who wouldn’t be seduced into the gutter by all the naughty language and behavior depicted in the book).

Why?

Since when was rebellion for its own sake considered radical in the literary sense?

Reading this book was like getting stuck on the last commuter bus home next to a drunken, rambling teenager.

Its style may have been “radical” for its time, but it’s neither interesting nor particularly well-written. I have no idea why this is considered a “classic.”

To me, an example of a “classic” is something like Frank Herbert’s “Dune”–even though it was written back in the 60’s, before the lunar landing, it still remains an epic story in and of itself, even with the science fiction aspects removed. “Catcher” on the other hand is more of a period piece, and makes for boring reading, like most of the Bronte sisters’ works which we were also required to slog through (oooh, Edwardian social mores, and written by a WOMAN! How RADICAL and RELEVANT!! not….).

In short, this book for me sums up everything that’s wrong with the way that English-language literature is taught in school. No, we shouldn’t let kids read the funnies and the White Pages and call it literacy, but there has been enough new stuff in the past 40 years to push out some of the no-longer relevant stuff.

Great Product but I wish I had spent the extra money to get the corpoerate version. The corporate version allows you to fax and email documents easier.

After J.D. Salinger died, my 92-year-old mother expressed interest in reading The Catcher in the Rye, so I ordered a used copy of the book The Catcher in the Rye through Amazon.com and had it sent to her. She really enjoyed reading it and gave a review of it at her retirement home book club. She told them she loved the book. I asked for her comments for this book review, and she said:
“I was curious because I heard that after J.D. Salinger died the book is deemed a classic. I hadn’t read it because at one time it was banned. I learned a lot about Holden Caulfield–coming of age. I laughed a lot when reading great descriptions of characters. I could gloss over swear words. A fun book open- ended.”

My mom got the steamvac because we were baby setting a dog and every time she came in the house
she would get the floor/carpet dirty or, she might throw up. The vac is cool because my mom doesn’t
have to mop and get the floor wet. Really cool product. Works great on carpet and linoleum.
